CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BPSC – back post single crochet (UK – BPDC)

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• READ the instructions through first;
• Easy to Intermediate – this cushion is easy to do although you will need the following basic crochet knowledge – not recommended for beginners.
• please check your stitch count.
• I use US Crochet stitch terminology.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Part Two:

NOTE: you are going to work BEHIND the petals

With E – work BPSC around ANY RND 7 SC

RND 9: *CH 4; work BPSC around next RND 7 SC.**
Repeat from * to ** 7 more times; SL ST into first SC worked.
(8 BPSC; 8 x 4 CH spaces)

RND 10: SL ST into next 4 CH loop; CH 4 (counts as 1 TR); work [2 TR; CH 2; 3 TR] into 4 CH loop; work 4 DC into next 4 CH loop.
*Work [3 TR; CH 2; 3 TR] into next 4 CH loop; work 4 DC into next 4 CH loop.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times. SL ST into FIRST TR worked.
(4 x corners; 16 DC)

NOTE: next round requires concentration – you are going to work into the
10 CH loops of round 2. The 10 CH loops will be positioned in-between the petals.

RND 11: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next 2 TR; work 2 DC into next 2 CH corner space; CH 1; work 1 TR into corresponding RND 2 10 CH loop; CH 1; work 2 DC into SAME corner space; work 1 DC into next 3 TR; work 1 DC into next 2 DC;
work 1 TR into corresponding RND 2 10 CH loop; work 1 DC into next 2 DC.
*Work 1 DC into next 3 TR; work 2 DC into next 2 CH corner space; CH 1; work 1 TR into corresponding RND 2 10 CH loop; CH 1; work 2 DC into SAME corner space; work 1 DC into next 3 TR; work 1 DC into next 2 DC; work 1 TR into corresponding RND 2 10 CH loop;

RND 12: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next 4 DC; work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into next TR; work 1 DC into next 7 DC; work 1 DC into next TR; work 1 DC into next 7 DC.
*Work work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into next TR; work 1 DC into next 7 DC; work 1 DC into next TR; work 1 DC into next 7 DC.**

Special Stitch:
Starting Popcorn: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 4 DC into same space; remove hook;
SL ST into 3^rd of 3 CH and LAST DC; CH 1 to close – please note this CH 1 DOES NOT count as a STITCH
Popcorn (PC): work 5 DC into same space; remove hook; SL ST into FIRST DC and LAST DC; CH 1 to close – please note this CH 1 DOES NOT count as a STITCH

With F – join into any 2 CH corner space.

NOTE: you will have a CH 2 BEFORE and AFTER each corner

RND 13: Work [Starting PC; CH 3; PC] into SAME 2 CH space; CH 2; (SKIP next DC; CH 1; work 1 DC into next DC) x 9; SKIP next DC; CH 2.

With A – join into any 3 CH corner space.
