The colors I used:

Rows:
Turquoise
Princess Buttercup
Lilac
Apple Green
Princess Salmon

Triangles:
Princess Buttercup
Princess Pink
Princess Turquoise

Yarn usage:  approx 20-25 grams for each color.

With 1st color – join into any corner of Big Square (section 8).

RS ROW 1: CH 1; work 1 SC into corner space; work 1 SC into each DC until next corner space; work 1 SC into corner space; TURN (59 SC)

ROW 2: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next SC; * work 2 DC into next SC; CH 1; SKIP next SC; work 1 SC into next SC; CH 1; SKIP next SC; work 2 DC into next.**
Repeat from * to ** 10 more times; work 1 DC into last 2 SC; TURN.

ROW 3: CH 1; work 1 SC into first DC; work 1 SC into next 3 DC; CH 1; SKIP next SC.
*Work 1 SC into next 4 DC; CH 1; SKIP next SC.** Repeat from * to ** 10 more times; work 1 SC into last 4 DC; TURN. (48 SC; 11 x 1 CH spaces = 59)

ROW 4: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next SC; * work 2 DC into next SC; CH 1; SKIP next SC; work 1 SC into next 1 CH space; CH 1; SKIP next SC; work 2 DC into next.**
Repeat from * to ** 10 more times; work 1 DC into last 2 SC; TURN.

ROW 5: Repeat Row 3

ROW 6: Repeat Row 4

ROW 7: Repeat Row 3
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With 2nd color – join first SC

RS ROW 8: CH 1; work 1 SC into each SC and 1 CH space; TURN. (59 SC)

Special Stitch:
SHELL – work 5 DC into SAME ST.

ROW 9: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next SC; SKIP next 2 SC; work SHELL into next SC; *SKIP next 4 SC; work SHELL into next.** Repeat from * to ** 9 more times; SKIP next 2 SC; work 1 DC into last 2 SC; TURN. (11 x SHELLS)

ROW 10: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next DC; *work SHELL into center DC of next SHELL.** Repeat from * to ** 10 more times; work 1 DC into last 2 DC; TURN.

ROW 11: Repeat Row 10.

ROW 12: CH 1; work 1 SC into first DC; work 1 SC into next DC; CH 2; work 1 SC into center DC of next SHELL; *CH 4; work 1 SC into center DC of next SHELL.**
Repeat from * to ** 9 more times; CH 2; work 1 SC into last 2 DC.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With 3rd color – join first SC

ROW 14: CH 1; work 1 SC into each SC until end; TURN. (59 SC)

ROW 15: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into each SC until end; TURN. (59 DC)

Special Stitch:
Front Post Double Crochet:

Yarn over, insert your hook from front to back to front around the post of the next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull thru 2 loops on your hook, yarn, and pull thru remaining two loops on your hook.

Back Post Double Crochet:

Yarn over  and insert your hook from back to front between the posts of the first and second double crochet in the row below, and then from front to back again between the posts of the second and third stitches. Yarn over and draw the yarn around the post of the stitch. You now have 3 loops on the hook. Yarn over and draw the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook, twice.

ROW 16: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next SC; *work 1 FPDC around each of next 5 DC; work 1 BPDC around each of next 5 DC. ** Repeat from * to ** 4 more times; work 1 FPDC around each of next 5 DC; work 1 DC into last 2 SC; TURN.

ROW 17: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next DC; *work 1 BPDC around each of next 5 DC; work 1 FPDC around each of next 5 DC. ** Repeat from * to ** 4 more times; work 1 BPDC around each of next 5 DC; work 1 DC into last 2 DC; TURN.

ROW 18: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next DC; *work 1 FPDC around each of next 5 DC; work 1 BPDC around each of next 5 DC. ** Repeat from * to ** 4 more times; work 1 FPDC around each of next 5 DC; work 1 DC into last 2 DC; TURN.

Triangle Motif – Make 6
Size:  3 inches / 8 cm from point to point

Yarn usage:
approx 4 grams for complete square; 2g – 1st and 2nd colors.

With 1st Color – CH 4, SL ST into first CH to form a ring/ or make a magic circle.

RND 1: CH 1; work 4 HDC; *CH 2; work 4 HDC.**
Repeat from * to ** once more; CH 2; SL ST into first HDC worked. (12 HDC, 3 x 2 CH)
RND 2: CH 1; work 1 HDC into SAME HDC; work 1 SC into next 2 HDC; work 1 HDC into next HDC; work [1 HDC; 2 CH; 1 HDC] into next 2 CH space.
*Work 1 HDC into next HDC; work 1 SC into next 2 HDC; work 1 HDC into next HDC; work [1 HDC; 2 CH; 1 HDC] into next 2 CH space.** (18 STS – 3 x 2 CH)
Repeat from * to ** once more; SL ST into first HDC worked. Fasten off and weave in ends.

With a 2nd Color – Join into any 2 CH corner space.

RND 3: CH 1; *work [2 HDC; 2 CH; 2 HDC] into corner space; work 1 HDC into next 6 STS.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into first HDC worked. (30 STS)
RND 4: CH 1; work; 1 HDC into SAME HDC; work 1 HDC into next HDC; *work [2 HDC; 2 CH; 2 HDC] into corner space; work 1 HDC into next 10 STS.**
Repeat from * to ** once more; work [2 HDC; 2 CH; 2 HDC] into corner space; work 1 HDC into next 8 STS ; SL ST into first HDC worked. (42 STS) Fasten off and weave in ends.

At the end of this section you should added 5 x color strips of rows to the Big Square
Plus 6 x Triangles.

Size:  Approx. Length = 23 inch / 58cm Width = 13 inch / 33cm
Note: this is only the size of the this piece = Square + Rows added.
