Abbreviations:  US Terminology

CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop
RS – Right side
WS – Wrong side

Colors:

• Color – 04 (Natural)
• Color – 51 (Light Green)

Instructions:

With hook 4, 00 mm (G) and color – 04 (Natural)

CH 140

The Woven Stitch.

NOTE: From row 2 – last SC of each row is worked in-between first SC and first CH of previous row.

ROW 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook; * CH 1; SKIP next CH; work 1 SC into next CH. **
Repeat from * to ** until end of row. TURN.

ROW 2: CH 1; SKIP first SC. *Work 1 SC into next 1 CH space; CH 1; SKIP next SC. ** Repeat from * to ** until end of row; work 1 SC into 1 CH space. (140 STS – 70 SC; 70 x 1 CH spaces) TURN.

ROW 3 – 15: Repeat ROW 2.

ROW 16: SKIP first SC; work 1 SC into each CH space and SC until next of row; SKIP last CH. (138 SC)

Fasten off and weave in ends.

TIP: If your Berry Row(s) are too wavy and/or wobbly.

1. Make sure you have 138 SC on Row 16 before continuing.
2. Or use a smaller hook for that section.

The Uneven Berry.

How to make a Berry:

• Yarn Over.
• Insert hook into next stitch.
• Yarn over.
• Pull loop through.
• Yarn over and draw through fist loop on hook.
• Yarn over.
• Insert hook into same stitch.
• Yarn over.
• Pull loop through.
• Yarn over and draw through all 5 loops.

Join color – 51 (Light Green)

ROW 17: CH 1; work 1 SC into first SC; work Berry into next SC. *Work 1 SC into next SC; work Berry into next SC. **
Repeat from * to ** 68 times more.

ROW 18: CH 1; work 1 SC into first Berry; work Berry into next SC. *Work 1 SC into next Berry; work Berry into next SC. **
Repeat from * to ** 68 times more.

ROW 19 – 23: Repeat ROW 18.

ROW 24: CH 1; work 1 SC into each SC and Berry until end of row. (138 SC)

Fasten off and weave in ends.
