CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop
RS – Right side
WS – Wrong side

Join color – 37 (Light Blue)
The Pike Stitch.
How to make an Extended Single Crochet Stitch (EXSC):
- Insert hook into Stitch/or CH space.
- Yarn over and pull loop through.
- Yarn over and pull through FIRST loop only.
- Yarn over and pull through BOTH loops.
ROW 25: CH 1; work 1 SC into first SC; *CH 1; SKIP next SC; work 1 EXSC into next SC.**
Repeat from * to ** until end of row; work 1 SC into last SC. TURN.
(68 x 1 CH spaces; 68 x EXSC; 2 x SC = 138 STS)
ROW 26: CH 1; work 1 SC into first SC; *CH 1; SKIP next 1 CH space; work 1 EXSC into next EXSC.**
Repeat from * to ** until end of row; work 1 SC into last SC. TURN.
(68 x 1 CH spaces; 68 x EXSC; 2 x SC = 138 STS)
ROW 27-37: Repeat ROW 26.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join color – 33 (Purple)
The Bobble Stitch.
How to make the Bobble Stitch: work 3 double crochet stitches together into same stitch/or space.
- *Yarn over; insert into stitch.
- Yarn over; pull loop through.
- Yarn over; pull through FIRST TWO loops only. **
- Repeat from * to ** two more times into SAME stitch.
- Yarn over and pull through all loops.
ROW 38: CH 1; work 1 SC into first SC; work 1 SC into each 1 CH and EXSC until end of row; work 1 SC into last SC. TURN.
(138 SC)
ROW 39: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); *work Bobble into next SC; CH 1; SKIP next SC. **
Repeat from * to ** until end of row; work 1 DC into last SC. TURN.
(68 x 1 CH spaces; 68 x Bobbles; 2 x DC = 138 STS)
ROW 40: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); *work Bobble into next 1 CH space; CH 1; SKIP next Bobble. **
Repeat from * to ** until end; work Bobble into next 1 CH space; work 1 DC into 3rd of 3 / 0r 4 CH. TURN.
(68 x 1 CH spaces; 68 x Bobbles; 2 x DC = 138 STS)
ROW 41: CH 4 (counts as 1 DC and 1 CH space); *work Bobble into next 1 CH space; CH 1; SKIP next Bobble. **

ROW 42 – 44: Repeat rows 40 and 41.
