SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop
RS – Right side
WS – Wrong side

Instructions:

With color – 61 (Grey)

The Griddle Stitch.

ROW 46: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 SC into next SC. *Work 1 DC into next SC; work 1 SC into next SC. **
Repeat from * to ** until end of row. TURN.
(69 DC; 69 SC = 138 STS)

ROW 47: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 SC into next DC. *Work 1 DC into next SC; work 1 SC into next DC. **
Repeat from * to ** until end of row. TURN.
(69 DC; 69 SC = 138 STS)

ROW 48 – 54: Repeat ROW 47.
(69 DC; 69 SC = 138 STS)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With color – 04 (Natural)

ROW 55: CH 1; work 1 SC into each ST across until end of row. TURN. (138 SC)

HDC Cross Stitch.

• SKIP next SC.
• Work 1 HDC into next SC.
• Work 1 HDC into SKIPPED SC.

ROW 56: CH 2 (counts as 1 HDC); work HDC Cross Stitch x 68 times across row until end; work 1 HDC into last SC.
(2 HDC; 68 HDC Cross Stitches – note each cross stitch equals 2 HDC = 138 STS)

ROW 57: Work 1 SC into the FRONT (1st loop) of each HDC stitch across until end of row.
(138 SC)

ROW 58/60/62: Repeat ROW 56.

ROW 59/61/63: Repeat ROW 57.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
