CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop
RS – Right side
WS – Wrong side

Instructions:

With color – 04 (Natural)

HDC and SC

ROW 100: CH 1; work 1 SC into each SC across until end of row (138 SC). TURN.

ROW 101: CH 2 (counts as 1 HDC); work 1 HDC into each SC across until end of row (138 HDC). TURN.

ROW 102; 104; 106; 108: Repeat Row 100.

ROW 103; 105; 109: Repeat Row 101.

ROW 110: Repeat Row 100.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With color – 51 (Light Green)

DC2tog

Work 2 double crochet stitches together over 2 stitches.

ROW 111: CH 1; work 1 SC into each SC across until end of row (138 SC). TURN.

ROW 112: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next SC; *CH 1; work DC2tog over next 2 SC. ** Repeat from * to ** 66 more times; work 1 DC into each of last 2 SC.

ROW 113: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next DC; *CH 1; work DC2tog over next [1 CH space and DC2tog] ** Repeat from * to ** 66 more times; work 1 DC into each of last 2 DC.

ROW 114-117: Repeat Row 113.

ROW 118: CH 1; work 1 SC into first DC; work 1 SC into next DC; *work 1 SC into next 1 CH space; work 1 SC into next DC2tog. **
Repeat from * to ** until last 2 DC; work 1 SC into each of next 2 DC. (138 SC)
Fasten off and weave in ends. 

 

THE BORDER:

With 4, 5o mm hook and Color – (Light Blue)

Join into FIRST SC of last ROW (118) worked.

RND 1: CH 1; work 1 SC into first SC; work 1 SC into each of next 137 SC; (138 SC);
CH 3 for first corner – continue working down the side of the blanket as follows:

Side Instructions:

• work 12 SC evenly along section 12;
• work 10 SC evenly along section 11;
• work 15 SC evenly along section 10;
• work 10 SC evenly along section 9;
• work 10 SC evenly along section 8;
• work 10 SC evenly along section 7;
• work 12 SC evenly along section 6;
• work 15 SC evenly along section 5;
• work 12 SC evenly along section 4;
• work 12 SC evenly along section 3;
• work 10 SC evenly along section 2;
• work 10 SC evenly along section 1; (138 SC)

CH 3 for next corner; work 1 SC into each CH across until end of bottom row (138 SC);
CH 3 for next corner; repeat side instructions starting at section 1; (138 SC)
CH 3 for last corner; SL ST into first SC worked.
(138 x 4 = 552 SC; 4 x 3 CH corner spaces)

RND 2: CH 2 (counts as 1 HDC); work 1 HDC into each of next 137 SC; work [2 HDC; 2 CH; 2 HDC] into next 3 CH corner space;
*work 1 HDC into each of next 138 SC; work [2 HDC; 2 CH; 2 HDC] into next 3 CH corner space.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 2nd of 2 CH.
(142 HDC on each side – 142 x 4 = 568)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Note: for next 2 rounds – work into the 3rd loop of each HDC stitch. 

With Color – 33  (Purple) – join into any 2 CH corner space.

RND 3: CH 5 (counts as 1 HDC and 3 CH corner space); work 1 HDC into same corner space; work 1 HDC into each HDC across until next corner space.
*Work [1 HDC; 3 CH; 1 HDC] into corner space; work 1 HDC into each HDC across until next corner space. **
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 2nd of 5 CH space.
(144 HDC on each side – 144 x 4 = 576)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With Color – 61 (Grey) – join into any 3 CH corner space.

RND 4: CH 2 (counts as 1 HDC); work 4 HDC into SAME corner space; work 1 HDC into each HDC across until next corner space.
*Work 5 HDC into next corner space; work 1 HDC into each HDC across until next corner space. **
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 2nd of 2 CH.
(144 HDC on each side; 5 HDC into each corner)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
