INSTRUCTIONS

With B – join into any ST – I joined into a FPDC.

RND 26: *CH 4; work 4 TR into SAME ST; SKIP next 3 STS; SL ST into next ST.** Repeat from * to ** 44 times more. (45 Petals) Fasten off and weave in ends.

With C – join into 1^st SKIPPED DC after a Petal – the first DC of the previous 3 DC skipped.
Note – work behind the petal.

RND 27: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into SAME DC; work 1 DC into each of next 2 DC; SL ST into the 4^th CH of the first ST of the next Petal.
*Work 2 DC into next DC; work 1 DC into each of next 2 DC; SL ST into the 4^th CH of the first ST of the next Petal. ** Repeat from * to ** 43 more times; SL ST into SL ST into 3^rd of 3 CH.
(180 DC; 45 SL ST)

RND 28: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into each of next 3 DC; work 1 FPDC around Petal 4 CH ST. *Work 1 DC into each of next 4 DC; work 1 FPDC around Petal 4 CH ST. ** Repeat from * to ** 43 more times; SL ST into 3^rd of 3 CH. (180 DC; 45 FPDC = 225 STS)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With D – join into ANY FPDC.

RND 29: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 FPDC around SAME join FPDC; work 1 FPDC around each of next 4 DC.
*Work 1 DC into next FPDC; work 1 FPDC around SAME FPDC; work 1 FPDC around each of next 4 DC. ** Repeat from * to ** 43 more times; SL ST into 3^rd of 3 CH.
(45 DC; 225 FPDC = 270 STS)

Special Stitch – DTR (double treble stitch):

• Yarn over 3 times.
• Insert hook into the designated stitch.
• Yarn over and pull up a loop (5 loops on hook).
• Yarn over, pull through 2 loops (4 loops remain).
• Yarn over, pull through 2 loops (3 loops remain).
• Yarn over, pull through 2 loops (2 loops remain).

RND 30: *CH 9; work 1 SC into 2^nd CH from hook; work 1 HDC into each of next 2 CH; work 1 DC into each of next 2 CH; work 1 TR into each of next 2 CH; work 1 DTR into last CH; SKIP next 5 FPDC; SL ST into next DC. ** Repeat from * to ** 44 more times.
(45 Petals) Fasten off and weave in ends.

With E – join into the 1^st DC of a RND 29 5DC Group – BEHIND the Petal.

RND 31: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into each of next 4 DC; CH 2.
*Work 1 DC into each of next 5 DC; CH 2. ** Repeat from * to ** 43 more times; SL ST into 3^rd of 3 CH. (45 x 5 DC groups = 225 DC; 45 x 2 CH spaces)

RND 32: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into each of next 4 DC; CH 1; work 1 HDC Popcorn into next 2 CH space; CH 1.
*Work 1 DC into each of next 5 DC; CH 1; work 1 HDC Popcorn into next 2 CH space; CH 1. **
Repeat from * to ** 43 more times; SL ST into 3^rd of 3 CH.
(45 x 5 DC groups = 225 DC; 45 x HDC Popcorns; 90 x 1 CH spaces)

Note: For the next round the 1 CH spaces are skipped.

RND 33: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into each of next 4 DC; work 1 FPDC around next Popcorn. *Work 1 DC into each of next 5 DC; work 1 FPDC around next Popcorn. **
Repeat from * to ** 43 more times; SL ST into 3^rd of 3 CH.
(225 DC; 45 FPDC = 270 STS) Fasten off and weave in ends.

With I – join into ANY DC AFTER a FPDC.

RND 34: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next DC; SKIP next DC; SL ST into Petal SC; work 1 DC into each of next 2 DC; work 1 FPDC around next FPDC.
*Work 1 DC into each of next 2 DC; SKIP next DC; SL ST into Petal SC; work 1 DC into each of next 2 DC; work 1 FPDC around next FPDC. ** Repeat from * to ** 43 more times; SL ST into 3^rd of 3 CH.
(45 FPDC; 45 SL ST; 180 DC = 270 STS)

Note: next round requires concentration – ensure your stitch count is correct – all stitches will be worked in INCLUDING the SL STs
TIP – before STARTING the next round – mark every 27^th ST with a STITCH MARKER.
(count from the starting stitch 27 and mark)

RND 35: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into each of next 25 STS; work 2 DC into next ST.
*Work 1 DC into each of next 26 STS; work 2 DC into next ST. **
Repeat from * to ** 8 more times; SL ST into 3^rd of 3 CH.
(280 DC) Fasten off and weave in ends.

With my yarn, hook and tension my mandala measures approx. 53 cm / 21 inches
