INSTRUCTIONS
The Rectangle Throw continuation:
IMPORTANT: Instructions are worked on one side then repeated on the opposite side.
Note: For straighter edges – I start with a CH 2 instead of a CH 3 for a DC – this is NOT a typo.
1 TR stitch is skipped at the start on the first row – this is to get the stitches to an EVEN number for the pattern to work correctly.
With I – join into the 2nd TR AFTER a CORNER SL ST.
RS – ROW 72: CH 2 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into each of next 6 TR; work 1 FPDC around next Petal SL ST.
*Work 1 DC into each of next 3 TR; work 1 FPDC around next Petal SL ST. **
Repeat from * to ** 34 more times; work 1 DC into each of next 8 TR.

WS – ROW 73: CH 2 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into each DC across.

How to Work Crossed Double Stitch:
- SKIP next stitch.
- Work 1 double crochet stitch into the next stitch.
- Work 1 double crochet stitch into the SKIPPED stitch.

RS – ROW 74: CH 2 (counts as 1 DC); work Cross Stitch x 78; work 1 DC into last DC.
(2 DC; 77 x Cross Stitches) Fasten off and weave in ends.
With F – join into 2nd of starting 2 CH.
RS – ROW 75: CH 2 (counts as 1 DC); work Cross Stitch x 78; work 1 DC into last DC.
(2 DC; 77 x Cross Stitches) Fasten off and weave in ends.
With E – join into 2nd of starting 2 CH.
RS – ROW 76: CH 2 (counts as 1 DC); work Cross Stitch x 78; work 1 DC into last DC.

With H – join into 2nd of starting 2 CH.

With A – join into FIRST 2 CH space.
RS – ROW 85: *CH 3; work 3 DC into SAME space; SL ST into next 2 CH space. ** Repeat from * to ** 37 more times; work CH 3; work 3 DC into SAME space; SL ST into SAME space to end off the row.
(39 x Shells) Fasten off and weave in ends.
Note: for the next row the DC will be worked BEHIND THE SHELLS into the SKIPPED DC of ROW 83
With B – join into first SKIPPED DC behind FIRST Shell.
RS – ROW 86: CH 4 (counts as 1 TR); work 1 TR into SAME DC; work 2 TR into next DC.
*Work 2 TR into each of next SKIPPED 2 DC. ** Repeat from * to ** 37 more times.
(156 TR) Fasten off and weave in ends.
With C – join with a SC into 3rd CH of Shell 3 CH AND 4th CH of starting 4 CH.
RS – ROW 87: Work 1 SC into each of next 3 TR.
*Work 1 SC into 3rd CH of Shell 3 CH AND next TR; work 1 SC into each of next 3 TR. **
Repeat from * to ** 37 more times.
(156 SC) Fasten off and weave in ends.
With D – join into first SC.
RS – ROW 88: CH 2 (counts as 1 DC); work Cross Stitch x 78; work 1 DC into last SC.

WS – ROW 89: CH 2 (counts as 1 DC); work Cross Stitch x 78; work 1 DC into last DC.

To fix the curve:

Use a size larger hook (4,00mm G) – if tight tension go up 2 hook sizes.
Depending on yarn type and tension – use TR (trebles) if side does not match up.
With G – join into DC AFTER corner SL ST.

CH 3 (counts as 1 DC – continue to work 21 DC evenly across side – ending with a DC into FIRST SC of top row.
CORNER: into SAME SC work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC];
work 1 DC into each SC across top until last SC;
CORNER: work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC].
Then work 22 DC evenly across side.
SL ST into DC AFTER corner SL ST. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Stitch count = (24 DC on each side; 158 DC along top)

SHELL Rows – 3 DC
D – 2 DC
Ending with 1 DC into SC.
WORK CORNER / WORK TOP/ WORK CORNER
Reverse for other side as follows:
D – 3 DC
SHELL Rows – 2 DC
G – 2 DC
HDC Rows – 4 DC
H – 2 DC
H/E/F (cross stitch rows) – 4 DC
