With G – join into RIGHT SIDE corner 2 CH space of a SHORT SIDE – you will be working along the top first.
TIP: To close the gap (if there is one) between the extended section and the original square corners – work a 2/3DCtog – see photo.
RND 1: Work a STARTING HDC Popcorn; CH 3; work 1 DC into each stitch across (158).
CH 3; work HDC Popcorn into next 2 CH corner space; CH 3;
work 1 DC into each stitch across (205);
CH 3; work HDC Popcorn into next 2 CH corner space; CH 3;
work 1 DC into each stitch across (158);
CH 3; work HDC Popcorn into next 2 CH corner space; CH 3;
work 1 DC into each stitch across (205);
CH 3; SL ST into top of starting Popcorn.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
