Abbreviations:

CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)

Special Stitches:

FPTR – front post treble crochet

 Yarn over 2 times, insert your hook from front to back to front around the post of the next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, (yarn over, pull thru 2 loops on your hook) 3 times.

Join yarn into any 3 CH corner

RND 7: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC/or do a Standing DC); work [1 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into same corner;
work 1 DC into next 2 DC;
work (1 DC into next 1 CH space; CH 1) 12 times;
work 1 DC into next 1 CH space; work 1 DC into next 2 DC.
*Work [2 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into same corner;
work 1 DC into next 2 DC;
work (1 DC into next 1 CH space; CH 1) 12 times;
work 1 DC into next 1 CH space; work 1 DC into next 2 DC.
Repeat from * 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
(22 DC; 13 x 1 CH spaces)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join yarn into any 2 CH corner

RND 8: CH 2 (counts as 1 HDC/or do a Standing HDC); work [1 HDC; CH 2; 2 HDC] into same corner;
work 1 HDC into next 5 DC;
work (1 FPTR around RND 6 DC; work 1 DC into next DC) 12 times;
work 1 FPTR around next RND 6 DC;
work 1 HDC into next 5 DC.
*Work [2 HDC; CH 2; 2 HDC] into same corner;
work 1 HDC into next 5 DC;
work (1 FPTR around RND 6 DC; work 1 DC into next DC) 12 times;
work 1 FPTR around next RND 6 DC;
work 1 HDC into next 5 DC.
Repeat from * 2 more times; SL ST into 2nd of 2 CH.
(39 STS on each side)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
