Easy
Basic stitches in simple variations, simple repeats, color changes, shaping and finishing.
You will need to know basic stitches like SC (single crochet) and DC (double crochet).
Special stitches explained and provided in the instructions.
Materials
- Hook – 3, 50 mm (E)
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
Yarn:
Vinnis Colours Nikkim (cotton yarn) approx130 yards (119 meters) 1 x 50 g balls (1,75 oz/50g)
Small amount of contrast color 10 g
Weight – DK (11 wpi)
Colors:
A – Princess Pink 50 g x 1
B – Princess Baby Mink 10 g
Yarn Substitute:
Using the same type of yarn throughout the project is recommended. The pattern suggests DK yarn (Weight – DK (11 wpi) 3: Light Worsted), but you are not limited to this type of yarn. Any yarn can be used if you take into consideration your sizing for the project will differ.
Tension | Gauge
Gauge is NOT necessary for this project to be perfect.
However COUNTING your stitches will ensure a true success of this project!
Size
Approx 10 inch (26 cm) in length and
5, ½ inch (14 cm) in width.
Cover fits standard wet wipes packet.
Remember – if you use/choose a different yarn weight/hook size your project will be a different size!

Instructions:
With A CH 41
Stitch Pattern: Grit

(RS) Row: work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook; work 1 SC into each CH until end (40 SC); TURN
Pattern Row: CH 1; work [1 DC; 1 SC] into first SC; SKIP next SC.
*Work [1 DC; 1 SC] into next SC; SKIP next SC. **
Repeat from * to ** until last 2 STS; work [1 DC; 1 SC] into next SC; SL ST into last SC (40 STS); TURN
Pattern Row 2: CH 1; work [1 DC; 1 SC] into first SC; SKIP next DC.
*Work [1 DC; 1 SC] into next SC; SKIP next SC.**
Repeat from * to ** until last 2 STS; work [1 DC; 1 SC] into next SC; SL ST into last DC (40 STS); TURN
Repeat Pattern Row 2 until piece measures approx 10 inches (26 cm)
(RS)Next Row: CH 1; work 1 SC into each ST until end (40 SC).
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Finishing:
Fold piece with an opening in the center – sew edges together with A yarn.
With B yarn – work an SC round;
40 SC for each side and 1 SC for the edging joins (82 SC)
RND 2: CH 1; work 1 SC into each SC around, SL ST into first SC.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
