INSTRUCTIONS

Please NOTE: I used a CH 2 at the start of my rounds for a DC stitch – NOT a CH 3. It is neater. However, this is just my preference. A Standing Stitch would also be perfect.

With A – make a magic ring/or CH 4; SL ST into 4th CH from hook to form a ring.

RND 1: CH 2 (this DOES NOT count as a ST); work 12 DC into ring; SL ST into first DC worked. (12 DC) Fasten off and weave in ends.

With B – join into any DC.

RND 2: CH 2 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into SAME DC; work 2 DC into each DC around; SL ST into 2nd of 2 CH. (24 DC) Fasten off and weave in ends.

With C – join into any DC.

RND 3: CH 7 (counts as 1 DC and 4 CH space); work 1 DC into SAME DC; SKIP next 2 DC.
*Work [1 DC; CH 4; 1 DC] into next DC; SKIP next 2 DC. ** Repeat from * to ** 6 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 7 CH. (16 DC; 8 x 4 CH spaces = 8 V-STS) Fasten off and weave in ends.

With D – join into any 4 CH space.

RND 4: CH 2; work [2DCtog; CH 3; 3DCtog] into SAME 4 CH space; CH 3.
*Work [3DCtog; CH 3; 3DCtog] into next 4 CH space; CH 3. ** Repeat from * to ** 6 more times; SL ST into top of 2DCtog. (16 Clusters; 16 x 3 CH spaces) Fasten off and weave in ends.

With A – join into any 3 CH space.

RND 5: CH 2 (counts as 1 DC); work 2 DC into SAME 3 CH space; work 1 DC into top of next Cluster. *Work 3 DC into next 3 CH space; work 1 DC into top of next Cluster. **
Repeat from * to ** 14 more times; SL ST into 2nd of 2 CH. (64 DC) Fasten off and weave in ends.

With B – join into any DC.

RND 6: CH 2 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into SAME DC; work 1 DC into each of next 7 DC.
*Work 2 DC into next DC; work 1 DC into each of next 7 DC. ** Repeat from * to ** 6 more times; SL ST into 2nd of 2 CH. (72 DC) Fasten off and weave in ends.

With C – join into any DC.

RND 7: CH 7 (counts as 1 DC and 4 CH space); work 1 DC into SAME DC; SKIP next 2 DC.
*Work [1 DC; CH 4; 1 DC] into next DC; SKIP next 2 DC. ** Repeat from * to ** 22 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 7 CH. (48 DC; 24 x 4 CH spaces = 24 V-STS) Fasten off and weave in ends.

With E – join into any 4 CH space.

RND 8: CH 2; work [2DCtog; CH 3; 3DCtog] into SAME 4 CH space; CH 3; work 3DCtog into next 4 CH space; CH 3.
*Work [3DCtog; CH 3; 3DCtog] into next 4 CH space; CH 3; work 3DCtog into next 4 CH space; CH 3 ** Repeat from * to ** 10 more times; SL ST into top of 2DCtog. (36 Clusters; 36 x 3 CH spaces) Fasten off and weave in ends.

NOTE: The next round may frill – depending on your yarn and your tension. IF – it is VERY frilly go down one hook size for the next round. Otherwise – it will flatten as the next rounds are completed.

With A – join into any 3 CH space.

RND 9: CH 2 (counts as 1 DC); work 2 DC into SAME 3 CH space; work 1 DC into top of next Cluster. *Work 3 DC into next 3 CH space; work 1 DC into top of next Cluster. **
Repeat from * to ** all around; SL ST into 2nd of 2 CH. (144 DC)

RND 10: CH 2 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into each DC around; SL ST into 2nd of 2 CH.
