My Crochet Dollhouse Playbook Part Six

PATTERN SUPPORT

Abbreviations:  US Terminology

CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop
RS – Right side
WS – Wrong side

Instructions:

The Bedroom

Yarns: scraps of double knitting/light worsted yarn in pink, purple and cream/white(from 2 yards to 50 yards)

Hooks & Notions:

  • Size 3.50 mm Hook
  • Yarn Needle
  • Stitch Marker
  • 3 x Large Press Button (Snap Fastener)
  • 3 x Large Buttons (optional)
  • Needle and Thread

PROJECT NOTES:

This page is worked on a new page. Use your own embellishments to decorate your page – the only limit is your imagination!

Bed:

With white/cream yarn, CH 21

Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd chain from hook, work 1 SC into each ST until end, turn. (20 SC)
Row 2-20: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end (20 SC), turn, after last row, turn and SL ST all around.
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Headboard/Wardrobe Top:

With pink yarn, CH 21/31

Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd chain from hook, work 1 SC into each ST until end, turn, (20/30 SC)
Row 2-5: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end (20/30 SC), turn,
Row 6: CH1, work 1 SC into first SC, work 1 SC into next ST/4 STS, work 1 HDC into next 2 STS, work 1 DC into next 2 STS, work 1 TR into each SC until last 6 SC, work 1 DC into next 2 STS, work 1 HDC into next 2 STS, work 1 SC into last 2/5 STS, turn.
Row 7: SL ST into next 2 STS, work 1 SC into next 2/3 STS, work 1 HDC into next 2 STS, work 1 DC into each ST until last 6 STS, work 1 HDC into next 2 STS, work 1 SC into next 2 STS, SL ST into last 2/3 STS, continue working in the round and SL ST all around.
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Wardrobe Shelves: (Make 2)

With white/cream yarn, CH 26

Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd chain from hook, work 1 SC into each ST until end, turn (25 SC)
Row 2-9: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end (25 SC), turn, after last row, turn and SL ST all around.
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Sew pieces onto page as shown.
NOTE: sew shelves only on the side and bottom, it should be like a pocket.

Wardrobe Doors: (Make Two)

With pink yarn, CH 13
Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd chain from hook, work 1 SC into each ST until end, turn. (12 SC)
Row 2-23: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end (12 SC), turn, after last row, turn and SL ST all around – optional – SL ST with a contrasting color.  Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Attach/sew doors onto the sides of the shelves – see photos. Sew cupboard onto page.
Optional – add a button for a door handle and to keep doors closed.

Bedcover:
With purple yarn, CH 21

Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd chain from hook, work 1 SC
into each ST until end, turn (20 SC)
Row 2-15: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end (20 SC),
turn, after last row, turn and SL ST all around.
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Cushion:
With purple yarn, CH 13

Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd chain from hook, work 1 SC
into each ST until end, turn. (12 SC)
Row 2-8: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end (20 SC), turn, after last row,
turn and SL ST all around. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
I added some Press Buttons/Snap Fasteners to the cushion and bedcover.

Whipstitch (sew) all the pieces into place.
