Basic stitches, simple shaping and finishing.
Concentration required.

Yarns:
Weight – DK (11 wpi) 3 : Light – I used cotton yarn
Color – random
Name: 100% Cotton DK
Brand: MoYa
Weight: DK (11 wpi) ?
Meterage: 148 yards(135 meters)
Unit weight: 50 grams (1.76 ounces)
Gauge: 22.0 sts = 4 inches
Needle size: US 2½ – 6 or 3 – 4 mm
Hook size: 3 mm – 4 mm (G)
Fibers: 100% Cotton
Texture: Plied
Hooks & Notions:
Hook 4,00 mm

Notes:
I use US Crochet stitch terminology.
Due to the nature of this pattern – the yarn and hook used is only a suggestion and any substitute may be used.
Size of finished product will vary depending on yarn and also size of hook used.
Size: approx 15 cm (6 inches) in diameter
Abbreviations:
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop

INSTRUCTIONS:
Make a magic ring or CH 6 SL ST to form a ring
RND 1: CH 2 (does NOT count as a ST); work 12 DC into ring; SL ST into first DC worked.
Fasten off and weave In ends.
Join new yarn into any DC
RND 2: working into back-loops: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into SAME joining DC;
(work 1 FPDC around next DC; work 2 DC into next DC) x 5 times; work 1 FPDC around next DC;
SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join new yarn into and FPDC
RND 3: working into back-loops: CH 4 (counts as 1 DC; 1 CH); work 1 DC into same FPDC; work 1 DC into next 2 DC. (Work [1 DC; 1 CH; 1 DC] into next FPDC; work 1 DC into next 2 DC) x 5 times;
SL ST into 3rd of 4 CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join new yarn into any 1 CH space
RND 4: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 4DCtog into same 1 CH space; CH 3; work 1 SC inbetween next 2 DC; CH 3.
(Work 5DCtog into next 1 CH space; CH 3; work 1 SC inbetween next 2 DC; CH 3) x 5 times;
SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join new yarn into any DC BEFORE a SC
NOTE: you will be working into the DC of RND 3
RND 5: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into same DC; CH 1; work 2 DC into next 4 DC; CH 1.
(Work 2 DC into next 4 DC; CH 1) x 10 times; CH 1; work 2 DC into next DC.
SL ST into 3rd CH of 3 CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join new yarn into any 1 CH space above a SC;
RND 6: Work 1 SC into 1 CH space; CH 4; work 1 FPSC around next bobble; CH 4.
(Work 1 SC into next 1 CH space; CH 4; work 1 FPSC around next bobble; CH 4) x 5 times;
SL ST into first SC worked.
RND 7: SL ST into next 4 CH space; CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [2 DC; 2 CH; 3 DC] into same 4 CH space; CH 1; work (4 DC into next 4 CH space; CH 1) x 2 times.
*Work [3 DC; 2 CH; 3 DC] into next 4 CH space; CH 1; work (4 DC into next 4 CH space; CH 1) x 2 times.**
Repeat from *to** 2 more times. SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
(14 DC on each side)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join new yarn into any 2 CH corner space.
Note: for this round you will SKIP all the 1 CH spaces
RND 8: working into back-loops: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into corner space; work 1 DC into next 14 DC.
* Work [2 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into corner next space; work 1 DC into next 14 DC.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times. SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
(18 DC on each side)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
