work 1 SC into last ST.

CREATING THE MAT/PLAYBOOK:
Border – Optional if doing the play-mat
Around each square you can do a single crochet round – working 2 SC into each ‘corner’.
Then single crocheted them to together – 3 squares for each ‘row’ – I did this with the Bible Stories!
OR you can Mattress Stitch the squares together like I did.
This is the border that was used for the Bible Stories Mat:
The Border: – Note I did not do a border for this mat 🙂
RND 1: 1 DC into each SC all around – working 2 DC into each ‘join’ and [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into each corner.
RND 2: *CH 3; work 2 DC into same ST; SKIP 2 STS; SL ST into next ST. Repeat from * all around; working [CH 3; 1 DC; 2 CH; 1 DC; 3 CH; SL ST] into each corner.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

I have been a crochet designer for more than 10 years. I love to think outside the box and to try and do things a bit differently. I love to learn new techniques and to challenge myself. I firmly believe that crochet should fun and evoke joy and pleasure. Creating and designing is one of my life's passions.
