Scrapstasy Bohemian Crochet Blanket Section 5 – Free Crochet Pattern

Supplies/Materials:

  • Yarn – Vinnis Colours Nikkim (cotton yarn) – approx amounts of colours used listed in Pattern; Weight – DK (11 wpi) 3: Light.
  • Hook – 3, 50 mm (E) – I used Clover
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle

Abbreviations: US Terminology
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)

Special Stitches will be give with each section when required.

Gauge:
However gauge is NOT necessary for this project to be perfect.
However COUNTING your stitches will ensure a true success of this project!

Remember – if you use/choose a different yarn weight/hook size your square will be a different size!

Finished Size:
Square – approx 24 inches (61 cm)

Pattern Notes:
Remember you can use any colors you like! This is also a super project for using leftover yarns!

Instructions:

Section 5:

With Pale Lilac approx 15/20 grams (30/40 yards) – join into any 2 CH corner space.

For this round work into 3rd loop of each HDC.

RND 5: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [3 CH; 1 DC] into corner; work 1 DC into each HDC,
*Work [1 DC; 3 CH; 1 DC] into next corner; work 1 DC into each DC.**
Repeat from * to ** twice more; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
(90 DC on each side)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With Pink approx 20/25 grams (40/45 yards) – join into any 3 CH corner space.

RND 6: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [3 CH; 1 DC] into corner; #SL ST into next DC; work 1 DC into next DC##.
Repeat from # to ## to next corner.
*Work [1 DC; 3 CH; 1 DC] into next corner; #SL ST into next DC; work 1 DC into next DC##.
Repeat from # to ## to next corner.**
Repeat from * to ** twice more; SL ST into 3rd CH of 3 CH.
(92 STS on each side)

RND 7: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 3 CH; 1 DC] into next corner; work 1 DC into each SL ST and DC until next corner.
*Work [1 DC; 3 CH; 1 DC] into next corner; work 1 DC into each SL ST and DC until next corner.**
Repeat from * to ** twice more; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
(94 DC on each side)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With Mint approx 20/25 grams (40/45 yards) – join into any 3 CH corner space.

RND 8: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [3 CH; 1 DC] into corner; #SL ST into next DC; work 1 DC into next DC##.
Repeat from # to ## to next corner.

With Raspberry approx 15/20 grams (30/40 yards) – join into any 3 CH corner space.

RND 10: Work 3 SC into corner; work 1 SC into next 98 DC.
*Work 3 SC into next Corner; work 1 SC into next 98 DC.**
Repeat from * to ** twice more; SL ST into first SC worked.
(98 SC on each side plus 3 SC into each corner)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
