Scrapstasy Bohemian Crochet Blanket Section 10 – Free Crochet Pattern

Supplies/Materials:

  • Yarn – Vinnis Colours Nikkim (cotton yarn) – approx amounts of colours used listed in Pattern; Weight – DK (11 wpi) 3: Light.
  • Hook – 3, 50 mm (E) – I used Clover
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle

Abbreviations: US Terminology
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)

Special Stitches will be give with each section when required.

Gauge:
However gauge is NOT necessary for this project to be perfect.
However COUNTING your stitches will ensure a true success of this project!

Remember – if you use/choose a different yarn weight/hook size your square will be a different size!

Finished Size:
Blanket – approx 40 inches (102 cm)

Pattern Notes:
Remember you can use any colors you like! This is also a super project for using leftover yarns!

Instructions:

Section 10:

My Colors:

  • Pale-Blue Green – approx 20-25 g / 52-60 yards
  • Dark Purple – 35-40 g / 85-90 yards
  • Raspberry – approx 35-40 g / 85-90 yards
  • Natural – approx 40-50 g / 90-120 yards

With yarn – join into any 2 CH corner

RND 9: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into same corner; work 1 DC into next 9 DC;
(CH 3; work 1 SC into 3rd DC of next Shell; CH 3; work 1 FPDC around next Cluster) x 22 times;
CH 3; work 1 DC into next 9 DC.
*Work [2 DC; 2 CH ; 2 DC] into next corner; work 1 DC into next 9 DC;
(CH 3; work 1 SC into 3rd DC of next Shell; CH 3; work 1 FPDC around next Cluster) x 22 times;
CH 3; work 1 DC into next 9 DC.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Special Stitch:
2DCtog – work 2 double crochet together in same space.

With yarn – join into any 2 CH corner

RND 10: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into same corner; work 1 DC into next 11 DC;
(work [2DCtog; CH 2; 2DCtog; CH 2; 2DCtog] into next SC; work 1 FPDC around next FPDC) x 21 times;
work [2DCtog; CH 2; 2DCtog; CH 2; 2DCtog] into next SC; work 1 DC into next 11 DC.
*Work [2 DC; 2 CH ; 2 DC] into next corner; work 1 DC into next 11 DC;

(work [1 SC; 1 HDC; 1 DC; 1 TR] into next 3 CH space; SKIP FPDC; work Bobble; work [1 TR; 1 DC; 1 HDC; 1 SC] into next 3 CH space; SKIP FPDC) x 21 times;
work [1 SC; 1 HDC; 1 DC; 1 TR] into next 3 CH space; SKIP FPDC; work Bobble; work [1 TR; 1 DC; 1 HDC; 1 SC] into next 3 CH space; work 1 DC into next 15 DC.

The Flowers:

The four flowers I attached to the four corner of the first big piece. This is completely optional and you can attach your flowers anywhere on the blanket.
