Scrapstasy Bohemian Crochet Blanket Section 9 – Free Crochet Pattern
Supplies/Materials:
- Yarn – Vinnis Colours Nikkim (cotton yarn) – approx amounts of colours used listed in Pattern; Weight – DK (11 wpi) 3: Light.
- Hook – 3, 50 mm (E) – I used Clover
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
Abbreviations: US Terminology
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
Special Stitches will be give with each section when required.

Gauge:
However gauge is NOT necessary for this project to be perfect.
However COUNTING your stitches will ensure a true success of this project!
Remember – if you use/choose a different yarn weight/hook size your square will be a different size!
Finished Size:
Square – approx 36 inches (92 cm)
Pattern Notes:
Remember you can use any colors you like! This is also a super project for using leftover yarns!

Instructions:
Section 9:
My Colors:
- Sunshine – approx 30-35 g / 78-85 yards
- Kingfisher – approx 20-25 g / 52-60 yards
- Natural – approx 35-40 g / 85-90 yards
- Aubergine – approx 35-40 g / 85-90 yards
With yarn – join into any 2 CH corner
RND 5: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner; (work 1 DC into next DC; SKIP next DC; work 2 DC into next DC; work 2 DC into next DC; SKIP next DC; work 1 DC into next DC) x 22 times.
*Work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into next corner; (work 1 DC into next DC; SKIP next DC; work 2 DC into next DC; work 2 DC into next DC; SKIP next DC; work 1 DC into next DC) x 22 times.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
With yarn – join into any 2 CH corner
RND 6: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner; work 1 DC into next 3 DC; (CH 3;
work 1 SC in-between next 2 DC groups; CH 3; work 1 DC into each of next 2 DC) x 22 times;
work 1 DC into next DC.
*Work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into next corner; work 1 DC into next 3 DC; (CH 3;
work 1 SC in-between next 2 DC groups; CH 3; work 1 DC into each of next 2 DC) x 22 times;
work 1 DC into next DC.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Special Stitch:
Shell – work 5 DC into SC.
With yarn – join into any 2 CH corner
RND 7: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner; work 1 DC into next 5 DC; (work Shell; work 1 DC into each of next 2 DC) x 22 times; work 1 DC into next 3 DC.
*Work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner; work 1 DC into next 5 DC; (work Shell; work 1 DC into each of next 2 DC) x 22 times; work 1 DC into next 3 DC.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Special Stitch:
Cluster– work 4DCtog into same space – 4 double crochet together.
With yarn – join into any 2 CH corner
RND 8: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner; work 1 DC into next 7 DC; (work Shell into 3rd DC of next Shell; CH 2; work Cluster in-between next 2 DC; CH 2) x 21 times; work Shell into 3rd DC of next Shell;
work 1 DC into next 7 DC.
*Work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner; work 1 DC into next 7 DC; (work Shell into 3rd DC of next Shell; CH 2; work Cluster in-between next 2 DC; CH 2) x 21 times; work Shell into 3rd DC of next Shell;
work 1 DC into next 7 DC.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
