Instructions:

Section 5:

The colors I used:

Sunshine; Princess Salmon & Princess Turquoise.

Joining the squares:

Yarn usage:  approx 10 grams for joining

With 1st color – join 4 squares with the SL ST (slip stitch) method. Weave in ends.

Square Rounds:

Yarn usage:  approx 10-15 grams for 1st and 2nd color.

With 1st color – join into center SC of corner 3SC of any square.

RS RND 1: Work 3 SC into first corner SC; work 1 SC into next 24 SC; work 3SCtog over next [SC; join; SC]; work 1 SC into next 24 SC.
*Work 3 SC into next SC (center SC of corner 3SC); work 1 SC into next 24 SC; work 3SCtog over next [SC; join; SC]; work 1 SC into next 24 SC.** Repeat from * to ** 2 more times (208 SC = 49 SC on each side not including 3 SC corners.) Fasten off and weave in ends.

With 2nd color – join into center SC of corner 3SC of any square.

RND 2: Work 3 SC into first corner SC; work 1 SC into next 51 SC.
* Work 3 SC into next SC (center SC of corner 3SC); work 1 SC into next 51 SC.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times (216 SC = 51 SC on each side not including 3 SC corners.)

The next instructions are repeated for both strips of squares:
This is a single row to be completed on each strip on the small squares side.

Yarn usage:
approx 15-20 grams for 1st color; approx 15/20 grams 2nd and 3rd color

With 1st color – join into FIRST corner space.

Note: optional – Work each SC into the 3rd loop of each HDC.
This is completely optional but it does look so pretty!

RS ROW 1: Work 1 SC into first corner space; work 15 SC over next (15/14) HDC – note for the 14 ST squares work 2 SC in any HDC just once – preferably in the center.
*Work 3SCtog over the next [corner space, join, corner space]; work 15 SC over next (15/14) HDC.**
Repeat from * to ** for the next 6 squares; work 1 SC into last corner space. (129 SC)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Joining the Strips:

Yarn usage:
approx 10-15 grams for joining

With 1st color – join the 2 strips with the SL ST (slip stitch) method.
Weave in ends.

Side Row:
