	RND 7: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next 2 DC; work 2 DC into next DC. *Work 1 DC into next 3 DC; work 2 DC into next DC. ** Repeat from * to ** 8 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH. (50 DC)
	RND 8: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next 4 DC; work 2 DC into next DC. *Work 1 DC into next 5 DC; work 2 DC into next DC. ** Repeat from * to ** 8 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH. (60 DC)

Finishing – Trims:

Top Shell Trim:

With yarn join into any exposed loop in front of a SHELL – NB!

Note: for the next round work into the exposed front loops only.

RND 13 – Trim: CH 1; work 1 SC into SAME CH as SL ST; SKIP next 2 DC; work 5 DC into next DC; SKIP next 2 DC. *Work 1 SC into next DC; SKIP 2 DC; work 5 DC into next DC; SKIP next 2 DC. ** Repeat from * to ** all around; SL ST into first SC worked. (10 Shells; 10 SC)

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Top Neck and Arm Hole Trims:

Neck – join yarn with a SC into space of the V opening at the back – work 7 SC evenly up the left edge; work 1 SC into each of the next 40 CH; work 7 SC evenly down the right edge; join into first SC worked.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Arm Hole– join yarn into any DC – work 1 SC into each DC all round; work 2 SC into the join. (18 SC)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Shorts:

3, 50 mm hook – With yarn CH 42; SL ST into first CH to form a ring.

Note: top is worked from the neck down.

	RND 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into each CH all round; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH. (42 DC)
	RND 2: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into each DC all around; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH. (42 DC)

Repeat RND 2until RND 5.

	RND 3		RND 4		RND 5
	RND 6: CH 1; work 1 SC into SAME CH; SKIP next 2 DC; work 5 DC into next DC; SKIP next 2 DC. *Work 1 SC into next DC; SKIP next 2 DC; work 5 DC into next DC; SKIP next 2 DC. ** Repeat from * to ** all round, SL ST into first SC worked AND opposite SHELL center DC – to form the leg holes. (7 Shells; 7 SC)

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Finishing – Trims:

With yarn join into any CH of RND 1.
Work 1 SC into each CH all around. (42 SC)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Shoes: Make 2

Note: The shoes are worked with a size larger hook (3, 50 mm – E) The sole will be shaped first.

3, 50 mm hook – With yarn make CH 8.

	RND 1: work 2 SC into 2nd CH from hook; work 1 SC into next 5 CH; work 4 SC into last CH – continue working in the round – work 1 SC into next 5 CH; work 2 SC into next CH; SL ST into first SC worked. (18SC)
	RND 2: CH 1; work 2 SC into first SC; work 2 SC into next SC; work 1 SC into next 5 SC; (work 2 SC into next SC) x 4 times; work 1 SC into next 5 SC; work 2 SC into next SC; work 2 SC into next SC; SL ST into first SC worked. (26 SC)
	RND 3: CH 1; work 1 SC into first SC; work 1 SC into next 2 SC; work 2 SC into next SC; work 1 SC into next 5 SC; work 2 SC into next SC; work 1 SC into next 6 SC; work 2 SC into next SC; work 1 SC into next 5 SC; work 2 SC into next SC; work 1 SC into next 3 SC; SL ST into first SC worked. (30SC)
	For the next round – work into the back loops ONLY.
	RND 4: CH 1; work 1 SC into each SC all around. (30SC)

Note: the CH 2 at the start of the next rounds do NOT count as a stitch.

	RND 5: CH 2; work 1 HDC into each SC all around. (30 HDC)
	RND 6: CH 2; work 1 HDC into each HDC all around. (30 HDC)
	RND 7: CH 2; work 1 HDC into next 8 HDC; HDC2tog x 8 times; work 1 HDC into next 6 HDC. (22 HDC)
	RND 8 CH 1; work 1 SC into each HDC all around. (22 HDC)
