Scrapsantastic Crochet Throw Part Five – Free Crochet Along
The Scrapsantastic Crochet Throw Part five is part of a fun, unique blanket crochet along worked in a variety of stitches and squares. A puzzle constructed as you crochet.

Abbreviations: US Terminology
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop
RS – Right side
WS – Wrong side

INSTRUCTIONS
Section Three – Cross-Stitch ROWS
Colors:
- A – Princess Mink
- B – Raspberry
- C – Princess Salmon
- D – Avocado
With A and 4, 00 mm (G) – with flowers facing right-side join into ROW 2 first DC.
Note: CH 1 does NOT count as a stitch; for the cross-stitch rows a CH 2 is used at the start – THESE count as a DC (this is done for a neater edge).
RS – ROW 3: CH 1; work 1 SC into each DC across. (136 SC) TURN.
WS – ROW 4: CH 2 (counts as 1 DC); work Cross-Stitch (special stitches) x 67 times; work 1 DC into last SC, TURN.
RS – ROW 5: CH 1; work 1 SC into each DC across. (136 SC).
Fasten off and weave in ends.
ROW 3 – 5 is the repeat pattern for the following rows:
With B – join into first SC.
WS – ROW 6 |
With C – join into first SC.
RS – ROW 9 |
With D – join into first SC.
WS – ROW 12 |
Section One – Triangles (Make 2)
Colors:
- A – Princess Aqua
With A and 3, 50 mm (E) – make a magic circle (this is recommended, however if you do not know how or struggle with this method, CH 4; SL ST into 4 CH from hook to form a ring.)
ROW 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [2 DC; CH 3; 3 DC] into ring; (6 DC; 1 x 3 CH space) TURN.
ROW 2: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC; work 1 DC into SAME DC; work 1 DC into each of next 2 DC; work [2 DC; 3 CH; 2 DC] into 3 CH space; work 1 DC into each of next 2 DC; work 2 DC into 3rd of 3 CH. (12 DC – 6 on each side; 1 x 3 CH space) TURN.
ROW 3: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC; work 1 DC into SAME DC; work 1 DC into each of next 5 DC; work [2 DC; 3 CH; 2 DC] into 3 CH space; work 1 DC into each of next 5 DC; work 2 DC into 3rd of 3 CH. (18 DC – 9 on each side; 1 x 3 CH space) TURN.
ROW 4: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC; work 1 DC into SAME DC; work 1 DC into each of next 8 DC; work [2 DC; 3 CH; 2 DC] into 3 CH space; work 1 DC into each of next 8 DC; work 2 DC into 3rd of 3 CH. (24 DC – 12 on each side; 1 x 3 CH space) TURN.
ROW 5: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC; work 1 DC into SAME DC; work 1 DC into each of next 11 DC; work [2 DC; 3 CH; 2 DC] into 3 CH space; work 1 DC into each of next 11 DC; work 2 DC into 3rd of 3 CH. (30 DC – 15 on each side; 1 x 3 CH space) TURN.
ROW 6: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC; work 1 DC into SAME DC; work 1 DC into each of next 14 DC; work [2 DC; 3 CH; 2 DC] into 3 CH space; work 1 DC into each of next 14 DC; work 2 DC into 3rd of 3 CH. (36 DC – 18 on each side; 1 x 3 CH space) TURN.
ROW 7: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC; work 1 DC into SAME DC; work 1 DC into each of next 17 DC; work 5 DC into 3 CH space; work 1 DC into each of next 17 DC; work 2 DC into 3rd of 3 CH. (45 DC – 22 on each side omitting center DC of 5 DC group)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
