Difficulty Level/Skill Required: Easy – Intermediate
Basic stitches in simple variations, simple repeats, color changes, shaping and finishing.
Includes more involved stitch combinations like the popcorn stitch.
You will need to know basic stitches like the DC (double crochet).
Special stitches explained and links to tutorials are provided.

- Yarn – Charity Double Knit Pullskein (100g / 255 yards / 233 meters)
Weight – DK (11 wpi) 3: Light. - Hook – 4.00 mm (G) – Clover
- Scissors
- Yarn needle

Make a magic ring
ROW 1: CH1, work 3 SC into ring, TURN (3 STS)
ROW 2: CH 1, work 1 SC into first ST, work 2 SC into next ST, work 1 SC into last ST, TURN (4 STS)
ROW 3: CH 1, work 1 SC into first ST, work 2 SC into next 2 STS, work 1 SC into last ST, TURN (6 STS)
ROW 4: CH 1, work 2 SC into first ST, work 1 SC into next 4 STS, work 2 SC into last ST, TURN (8 STS)
ROW 5: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 1 DC into first ST, work 1 DC into next 6 STS, work 2 DC into last ST, TURN (10 STS)
ROW 6: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 1 DC into first ST, work 1 DC into next ST, work 2 DC into next ST, work 1 DC into next 4 STS, work 2 DC into next ST, work 1 DC into next, work 2 DC into 3rd CH of CH 3, (changing color at the end of 2nd DC), TURN (14 STS)
ROW 7: CH 1, work 1 SC into each ST until end, TURN
ROW 8: CH 1, work 1 SC into first ST, SKIP next ST;
work [2 DC, 1 TR, picot, 1 TR, 1 DC] into next ST,
work 1 SC into next ST, SKIP next ST;
