I use US Crochet stitch terminology

Abbreviations:

CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)

INSTRUCTIONS:

PART TWO:

Change color to – join into any TR of a petal
RND 13: *Work 1 SC into TR; CH 6. Repeat all around (24 loops made); SL ST into first SC made.
RND 14: CH 1; SKIP SC; work 6 DC into 6 CH loop. Repeat from * all around (144 DC); SL ST into top of FIRST DC made.

Change color  – join into FIRST DC of a 6 DC
group.
RND 15: *Work 1 SC into next 6 DC; work 1 FPDC over SC of RND 13. Repeat from * all around (168 STS). SL ST into first SC made;
RND 16: CH 1; work 1 SC into each ST all around (168 STS); SL ST into first SC made;
RND 17: CH 1; work 1 SC into each ST all around (168 STS); SL ST into first SC made;

SHAPING THE SQUARE:
Change color  – join into any ST.

NOTE: starting first TR – CH 4
RND 18: *Work [2 TR; 2 CH; 2 TR] into next ST;
work 1 TR into next 5 STS;
work 1 DC into next 6 STS;
work 1 HDC into next 6 STS;
work 1 SC into next 7 STS;
work 1 HDC into next 6 STS;
work 1 DC into next 6 STS;
work 1 TR into next 5 STS;
Repeat from * 3 more times. SL ST into first TR (4th CH of 4 CH).

Change color – join into any CORNER 2 CH

NOTE: starting first TR – CH 4
RND 19:*Work [2 TR; 2 CH; 2 TR] into 2 CH;
work 1 TR into next 6 STS;
work 1 DC into next 6 STS;
work 1 HDC into next 6 STS;
work 1 SC into next 9 STS;
work 1 HDC into next 6 STS;
work 1 DC into next 6 STS;
work 1 TR into next 6 STS;
Repeat from * 3 more times. SL ST into first TR (4th CH of 4 CH);

Change color – join into any CORNER 2 CH
RND 20: *Work 3 SC into 2 CH space;
work 1 SC into each ST until next 2 CH space. Repeat from * 3 more times.
(208 STS – 49 SC for each SIDE plus 3 in each corner space);
SL ST into first SC made.
