BUILDING THE PLAYBOOK:
STEP ONE: Attach the tree and tree top to the side of the page/square.
My Camping Playbook Part One | Free Crochet Pattern | Creative Crochet Workshop @creativecrochetworkshop #ccwcampingplaybookcal #freecrochetalong #crochetquietbook
STEP TWO: Attaching the tent.
Option A: How to attach the Zipper Tent
Hand sew or machine sew the zipper to the straight long edges of the two tent triangles.
Please note: make sure your zipper stopper is at the top of the tent and not the bottom. I mention this because I had to redo mine twice (yes, twice) – this was luckily with machine sew and not by hand – because if it had been by hand and I did not notice it immediately this tent would only ever have seen the black of the trashcan ;P
But even with the machine twice is bad….
Sew the tent to the page.
My Camping Playbook Part One | Free Crochet Pattern | Creative Crochet Workshop @creativecrochetworkshop #ccwcampingplaybookcal #freecrochetalong #crochetquietbook
Option B: How to attach the Flap Tent:
With a darker yarn SL ST all round the Tent Pieces. Sew the larger piece to the page – leaving the left side open to form a pocket. See photo.

I used the the ‘outside loops’ of the SL ST stitches to sew the front panel to the main tent piece. It should be able to flap open.

The second panel is sewed to the page on one side only; See photo above.

STEP THREE: Attaching the Sun & Moon.
The sun and moon are detachable appliques and are attached by sewing a button onto the page then adding the sun or moon via the buttonhole.
