Scrapsantastic Crochet Throw Part Eight – Free Crochet Along
The Scrapsantastic Crochet Throw Part Eight is part of a fun, unique blanket crochet along worked in a variety of stitches and squares. A puzzle constructed as you crochet.

Abbreviations: US Terminology
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop
RS – Right side
WS – Wrong side

INSTRUCTIONS
Section Five – Offset DC ROWS
Colors:
· A – Mint · B – Princess Salmon |
· C – Kingfisher
· D – Pale Lilac · E – Raspberry |
With A and 4, 00 mm (G) – with right-side facing join into 2 CH corner of the square.
Note: CH 1 does NOT count as a stitch; for the offset DC rows a CH 2 is used at the start – THESE count as a DC (this is done for a neater edge).
RS – ROW 1: CH 1; work 1 SC into each ST and 2 CH corners spaces (SKIP THE JOINS) across. (136 SC) TURN.
WS – ROW 2: CH 2; *work 2 DC into next SC; SKIP next SC. ** Repeat from * to ** 66 more times; work 1 DC into last SC; TURN. (67 x 2 DC groups; 2 DC = 136 STS)
RS – ROW 3: CH 2; *work 2 DC into next DC; SKIP next DC. ** Repeat from * to ** 66 more times; work 1 DC into 2nd CH of 2 CH; TURN. (67 x 2 DC groups; 2 DC = 136 STS)
WS – ROW 4: CH 1; work 1 SC into each DC across. (136 SC)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
With B – join into first SC.
RS – ROW 5: CH 1; work 1 SC into each DC across. (136 SC)
WS – ROW 6: CH 2; *work 2 DC into next SC; SKIP next SC. ** Repeat from * to ** 66 more times; work 1 DC into last SC; TURN. (67 x 2 DC groups; 2 DC = 136 STS)
RS – ROW 7: CH 2; *work 2 DC into next DC; SKIP next DC. ** Repeat from * to ** 66 more times; work 1 DC into 2nd CH of 2 CH; TURN. (67 x 2 DC groups; 2 DC = 136 STS)
WS – ROW 8: CH 1; work 1 SC into each DC across. (136 SC)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
ROW 5 – 8 is the repeat pattern for the following rows:

WS – ROW 24: CH 1; work 1 SC into each ST across. (136 SC) TURN.
