  • 25 Unique Squares (each square will be different in design);
  • Joining the squares;
  • Border.

Skill Level: Intermediate

The choice will be completely yours to either make the throw/afghan or use the squares for your own project.

Crochet A Block 2021

Supplies/Materials:

  • Yarn – Vinnis Colours Nikkim (cotton yarn) –  approx 26 x 50 g balls – approx 3380 yards (3094 meters) ( 45,5 oz) (colors listed in pattern)
    This project can also be a GREAT stashbuster or scrappy yarn project!
  • Hook – 4.00 mm (G)– I used Clover
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle

Abbreviations: US Terminology
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop

Gauge:
Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect.
However if you use a different yarn and/or hook sizing will differ.

Finished Size:
Squares: Approx 9 x 9 inch (23 x 23 cm)
Throw: Approx 115 x 115 cm (45 x 45 inch)

Pattern Notes: Depending on your gauge and crochet style you might need more or less yarn.
You can use ANY yarn and hook – just use the same brand/type throughout for consistency.
